Primary Program

Haiam Attia holds a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Cairo, Egypt.  She holds an AMS Montessori diploma from LCCC’s Montessori Teacher Training Program and begins her thirteenth year with GMS. She works alongside Ms. Crystal in Classroom 4 as a co-teacher. 

Allen Carroll begins his ninth year as an Assistant in Classroom 3.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics, from the University of British Columbia, Canada.  He is gifted with musical talent, and we are pleased to credit him with creating our "Grace Montessori Theme Song". 

Christine Cleary beings her fourth year with us and her third year as Head Teacher in Classroom 1.  She brings over 20 years of teaching experience as a Head Primary Teacher and Coooking Instructor at two Montessori schools in New Jersey.  She has her AMS Montessori Teaching Certificate and has been awarded the CDA (Child Development Associate) by the Council for Professional Development.

Kelly DiGiacinto begins her twelfth year with GMS. She is the Head Teacher in Classroom 3. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Moravian College. She holds an AMS Montessori diploma from LCCC’s Montessori Teacher Training Program. 

Wendy Lee, having received her NAMC  Montessori certification, begins her fourth year at GMS, as Co-teacher  in Classroom 2. Wendy is a member of AMS and earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Temple University. 

Hattye Magee returns for her fourteenth year as Assistant  in Classroom 1.  Hattye has completed coursework for Montessori Assistant Teachers Training and the coursework for the LCCC’s Montessori Early Childhood Program.  She has also received training for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Atrium program).

Crystal Owen returns for her sixth year with Grace Montessori School and her fourth year as Head Teacher in Classroom 4. Having received certification in Occupational Child Care from Schuylkill Career and Technology Center, Crystal has an associates degree in Early Childhood Montessori Teacher Training from LCCC and has received her AMS certification.

Karen Tuerk serves as Co-teacher in Classroom 2. She brings with her a rich background in environmental science as well as Montessori education. Karen holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Western Washington University and a master's degree in Marine Biology from University of Charleston, Charleston, S.C.  She received her Certification in Montessori Education from Chestnut Hill College. Prior to serving as a substitute teacher and intern at Grace Montessori School (from 2008-2011), Karen worked as a Biology Instructor at the College of Charleston and served on the adjunct faculty of Muhlenberg College where she was an instructor in Ecology and Environmnental Scinece.

Batool Viqar first served as an active substitute with GMS. She returns for her fourth year as an Assistant in Classroom 3 with over 19 years of experience with preschool children. She has a master's degree in English Literature, a bachelor's degree in Journalism, International Relations, and English Literature as well as her AMS Montessori diploma.

Elementary Program

Radhika Hoshing begins her fourth year with GMS. She brings years of teaching experience in the Montessori Environment and is the Head Teacher for our Elementary Classroom. She received her Elementary AMI certification from the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Bombay University, India.

Jessica Meyers is an Assistant teacher in the Elementary program. She joined Grace Montessori School as a substitute teacher in February 2011, and since then Jessica has worked with all the head teachers in the school. Jessica has a master’s degree in Elementary Education and a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA. Before joining Grace, she did her student teaching at Mosser and Parkway Manor elementary schools in Allentown PA.

Ellen Roberts  Returning for a third year as an Assistant teacher in the Elementary classroom, Ellen  has a bachelor of arts degree in History and French and certification in French-English translation. Ellen has more than 20 years of professional experience in journalism, public relations, media relations, and copywriting. She is active in Habitat for Humanity, West Park Civic Association, and Alliance Francaise, and she servers as clerk of the vestry for Grace Episcopal Church.
